Getting a Student Visa
(D-2)
To study in Korea, you are required to acquire a student visa(D-2). Certificate of Admission enclosed in the Acceptance Package is an important document to be presented for your visa application. Please contact your nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate for more detailed information regarding the visa application process. Be aware that students cannot change their visitor visa to a student visa in Korea. You should apply for a student visa (D-2).
Arriving in Korea Directions to SeoulTech is fully given in the Information Booklet enclosed in the Acceptance Package. Please read the relevant pages carefully. We recommend all the international students to use the airport limousine bus 6100 which stops at Gongneung Station.
Campus life
Orientation The OIE conducts an orientation to provide you important information about the University, its academic system, campus facilities, residential living, immigration and visa regulations, as well as other vital support services.
The Orientation to make your adjustment to the SeoulTech campus as easy as possible. OIE requires that all new students arrive on campus approximately 2~4 days prior to classes starting, both to attend this orientation and to have sufficient time to adjust to your new home, dormitory, and community here in SeoulTech.
Academic Transcript Your academic records will become available through the online system in 3weeks after the semester. Please note that only Korean transcript is provided by the online system. If you need an English Transcript, contact oia@seoultech.ac.kr. Your academic transcript in English will be sent to your home institution in a week after release.
Housing Once you are accepted to SeoulTech, your room will be guaranteed if you mark ‘Yes’ on Dormitory Request in your application. To find more about the dormitory, please visit here. http://dormitory.seoultech.ac.kr/
Insurance
  • * Health Insurance is mandatory for all international students at Seoul Tech.
  • - Non-local students are required to have suitable and adequate insurance for the entire period of their study at SeoulTech. The insurance should cover but not limited to travel, personal accidents, medical expenses (accident and non-accident), hospitalization and emergency evacuation/repatriation.
Buddy Program
(International Student Club,ISC)
  • - The office of International Education has been offering a buddy program to help international students to adjust to living in Korea, studying at SeoulTech and improving Korean language proficiency.
  • - Activities
    • Helping out with registering courses, making an alien card or student card, opening an account and so on.
    • Orienteering(Campus tour with various games)
    • Culture Trip, Sports Festival
  • - How to apply : Fill out the application form and submit by email at the end of February and August.
